BOOKS

The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism - A profound work for skeptics and their believing friends.  Though I would deem most anything "Keller" a must-read, this is probably my highest recommendation.

Redeemer Church Planting Manual - This is an excellent practical-without-being-too-businessy church planters guide.  There are many helpful sections and resources in the book for pastors (not just planters) as well.  I often recommend this as a key resource for any church leader.

Ministries of Mercy - I bought this book after one of my children was diagnosed with autism, and I knew nothing about Keller at the time.  It's a thoughtful resource for churches, church leaders, deacons, and thoughtful Christians.

What a great index for us to use! Thanks for putting this together.

I have yet to read anything of Keller's that didn't inform, challenge, or resonate deeply with me. May God continue to bless him, and raise up others from among us to be like him.

Thanks Steve, though Tim is a little older than I thought he would be and looks nothing like I thought he would.

I thought he'd be wearing camo...

NYC, man. Only the rappers wear camo.

Steve, don't know if you have seen this, but he adds some sermons that you can stream, and quotes, etc.

Yeah, I've pointed there in a previous post, but several links have issues. I've been thinking of adding sermons and talks sometime, but I wanted to focus on articles for now.

check this site for more keller info...

Having served with Tim (Ruling Elder at Redeemer), I am glad to see these sites. I have a ton of other material that can be PDF'ed and put online.

    Chris

You will find a couple of other Keller sermons on the website of St. George's-Tron Church in Glasgow (Scotland).

You rock. Alan Crim (smokedmeat.blogspot.com) dialed me in on this post of yours and it is a mad resource for Keller + iPod feasting.

    Thank you!

Like other contributors I too have been greatly helped by Tim Keller's thinking and example. I have even had in my church in London to do a conference. But where I find much of the Redeemer approach less helpful is in the process of actually working with older churches. Most of us who are pastors work in churches that are not new plants and therefore relatively easy to direct in the way we want them to go. Older churches are a lot harder to renew. That is not only because there are traditions, etc. but simply because there is now a community of people with a great deal of diversity. I asked one of Keller's side-kicks about this and he said that there wasn't much hope for such churches and it is better to start new ones. But that is both unrealistic and unbiblical.

    Ken Brownell, London

Kenneth, thanks for the comment. Others like Mark Dever/9Marks are working with church renewal. One church and one guy can't do everything.

But I also ascribe to Keller's viewpoint here, and I'm in a church renewal situation myself.

Many of your links, are broken as of today (12/11/08.) Thanks for the awesome resource, just wanted to let you know...

Thanks Jon, I fixed what was fixable.

Thanks for being so prompt about it! Never seen such great service from a free site! God Bless you brother...

Steve mentioned this in an earlier post, but Tim will be speaking at a free weekend conference January 19 & 20 at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. For more info: http://clc.2pc.org.

Thank you. Why can't all his stuff be available and FREE?! it's the gospel, man.
